Privacy policy
This policy explains what Window Quotes Online collects when you request window quotes online, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for the details you submit through the enquiry form on this site.
What we collect
When you complete the quote form we collect the details you enter:
- Your first and last name;
- Your email address;
- Your phone number;
- Your postcode; and
- Your answer to whether you own your home.
We also automatically collect marketing attribution data so we understand how you found us. This includes campaign source and other UTM values, advertising click identifiers (for example Google or Meta click ids), the page you first arrived on, your browser user-agent and your IP address.
How we use your details
We use your details to arrange the window quotes you asked for. In particular:
- We will contact you by phone, directly related to the application you made — to confirm a few details and progress your quote request. We do not use your number for unrelated marketing.
- We use your postcode to match you with installers who cover your area.
- We use the marketing attribution data to measure which campaigns work and to prevent fraud and abuse.
Sharing with installers
To provide quotes, qualified enquiries may be passed to a matched, vetted installer who covers your area so they can prepare a quote and, if you wish, arrange an in-home survey. We share only what an installer needs to contact you about your enquiry. We do not sell your data.
Legal basis
We process your details on the basis of your request (to take steps at your request before entering into a contract) and our legitimate interest in operating a quote-matching service and keeping it secure.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted or anonymised, unless we need to keep them longer to meet a legal or accounting obligation. Marketing attribution cookies expire after 90 days (see our cookie policy).
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
